"If you’ve raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in thickets by the Jordan?" (Jeremiah 12:5). Our journey is intended to be more than simply "stumbling" through the days while the world "wears us out.” We are made to experience the thrill of "running with horses” and to navigate life amongst the "thickets." The RWH blog focuses on both the spiritual race of which Jeremiah speaks, and the physical act of running that I absolutely love. In short, it's where "the miles meet the Message" to provide insight, perspective & encouragement that might enable you & I to successfully run either of the races set before us. May our course be purposeful and may we be passionate in our pursuit of the abundant life He desires for us.

ROCC RFG 2017 - Week 4

We run in the cold. We run in the rain. We just don't run in the cold rain (unless, of course, it's race day and we just suck it up and run).

For only the second time in six years, our Monday night was disrupted by extreme conditions. But never fear, the gym was near, so our group put in the hard work and completed workout number one of week four in flying colors.

With forecasts showing next Monday, March 20, as sunny and 65 degrees, we are planning on a grand return to the great outdoors and our first official ROCC 5K Course group run. Don't miss it.

Aside from the workout, we had a great time last night finding 'Common Ground' around our tables, considering the context and implications of Philippians 4:13, laughing out loud at the Skit Guys biblical character  board meeting (link below), learning a few new stretches, discussing injuries, and making time for RFG shirt fit kit sampling. Whew ... and out by 7:59!

The slides are shown below. Let me know of any questions. If interested in hearing more about these subjects, the live feed can be found here: Facebook Live: Week 4
