"If you’ve raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in thickets by the Jordan?" (Jeremiah 12:5). Our journey is intended to be more than simply "stumbling" through the days while the world "wears us out.” We are made to experience the thrill of "running with horses” and to navigate life amongst the "thickets." The RWH blog focuses on both the spiritual race of which Jeremiah speaks, and the physical act of running that I absolutely love. In short, it's where "the miles meet the Message" to provide insight, perspective & encouragement that might enable you & I to successfully run either of the races set before us. May our course be purposeful and may we be passionate in our pursuit of the abundant life He desires for us.

ROCC RFG 2017 - Week 2

Stacie - The Fleet Feet Form Fixer!
With great certainty, I can say that in six years of ROCC Run for God, we have never seen any of the following: Old Testament Theater, An introduction in the spirit of "Connect-Like-You-Mean-It",  Professional instruction in the J-Lo form fixer exercise, or a meeting without a single powerpoint slide ...... until tonight, when they were all wrapped up into the second week of our season.

Great work and good fun everyone. Thanks for showing up, joining in, and being real. Your workout number 4 was fantastic, and we are now just two weeks away from going live on Lewisville-Clemmons Road.

A special thanks to Stacie Battjes from Fleet Feet Winston-Salem. Stacie joined us for the workout, then provided us with a great shoe, safety, and form presentation. We appreciate her time and the answers to many of our questions. We also look forward to seeing her current group of No Boundaries runners at the ROCC 5K on May 13th. Thank you Stacie and Fleet Feet.

Finally, despite not having any slides to show in the gym tonight, I do have a few that might help. They are attached below. You can also view the meeting recorded here: Triad Run for God FB Page - Live Video Week 2

See you next Monday.
