"If you’ve raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in thickets by the Jordan?" (Jeremiah 12:5). Our journey is intended to be more than simply "stumbling" through the days while the world "wears us out.” We are made to experience the thrill of "running with horses” and to navigate life amongst the "thickets." The RWH blog focuses on both the spiritual race of which Jeremiah speaks, and the physical act of running that I absolutely love. In short, it's where "the miles meet the Message" to provide insight, perspective & encouragement that might enable you & I to successfully run either of the races set before us. May our course be purposeful and may we be passionate in our pursuit of the abundant life He desires for us.

Run For God - 2016 / Week 1

And ... Here ... We .... GO!

Based on the level of enthusiasm and workout effort at last night's opening meeting, I am convinced that season five of ROCC RFG is going to be an especially memorable and fun-filled experience. Over 80 walkers / runners have committed to "Moving Forward" with perseverance and purpose for the next 12 weeks (and beyond), and on Monday evening, Feb. 22nd, we took our first steps.

Below are the introductory slides from week one. There are comments on what RFG is (and is not), what to expect, what your workout should include this week, and a few administrative tasks to get us going. If you missed last night, or any night, it will be important to review the information and stay up to date on training plans and tips. Along with the video links, you will find each week archived under the Run For God label within this blog site.

Again, great work, have a wonderful week and may we all ... throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and run with perseverance the race marked out for us - Heb. 12:1.
