"If you’ve raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in thickets by the Jordan?" (Jeremiah 12:5). Our journey is intended to be more than simply "stumbling" through the days while the world "wears us out.” We are made to experience the thrill of "running with horses” and to navigate life amongst the "thickets." The RWH blog focuses on both the spiritual race of which Jeremiah speaks, and the physical act of running that I absolutely love. In short, it's where "the miles meet the Message" to provide insight, perspective & encouragement that might enable you & I to successfully run either of the races set before us. May our course be purposeful and may we be passionate in our pursuit of the abundant life He desires for us.

RFG III - 2014 Week 2

As we have come to expect, the annual Emily Davis / Fleet Feet presentation was a big hit! The investment that we put into running equipment--pennies in comparison to those golfers, scrapbookers, hunters and photographers among us--is critical to our ability to more likely run pain-free and comfortable for many years. Thank you Emily for explaining how the foot works and what we can do to support it.

The second observation from last night is that there is a fine line between solid information and 'information overload!' I will definitely take a look at our week 2 next year and trim a few items back (not including Emily's portion). But from Kayla Montgomery to Chariots of Fire, from Edwin Moses to our Run Through Scripture, it is just such good information!

Anyway all slides are included below, including the links to our two videos; Kayla 2012 Video and a clip from Chariots of Fire. Enjoy. Let me know of any questions. See you next Monday!
