"If you’ve raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in thickets by the Jordan?" (Jeremiah 12:5). Our journey is intended to be more than simply "stumbling" through the days while the world "wears us out.” We are made to experience the thrill of "running with horses” and to navigate life amongst the "thickets." The RWH blog focuses on both the spiritual race of which Jeremiah speaks, and the physical act of running that I absolutely love. In short, it's where "the miles meet the Message" to provide insight, perspective & encouragement that might enable you & I to successfully run either of the races set before us. May our course be purposeful and may we be passionate in our pursuit of the abundant life He desires for us.

Sight-Running : Mile 2

A few months ago, I made reference to a growing trend among travelers and tourists; sight-running.  In short, the idea of seeing the sights while participating in a group run.  I mentioned that I often find the best way to really see a city is to go for a run.  You always get better views and experience much more of the culture by running the streets, parks and plazas.  The original post is here: Sight-Running!

Since that post, I have now received two comments from sight-running organizations.  One of these is in London and the other from the Basque region of Spain.  Both look fantastic and worth every single pound or euro required (although, as you might imagine, these tours are much more economical than traditional bus tours).  If ever I find myself in either of these global destinations, I do plan on taking a tour, or two, with them.  I would encourage you to do the same.  Their websites are provided below.
