"If you’ve raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in thickets by the Jordan?" (Jeremiah 12:5). Our journey is intended to be more than simply "stumbling" through the days while the world "wears us out.” We are made to experience the thrill of "running with horses” and to navigate life amongst the "thickets." The RWH blog focuses on both the spiritual race of which Jeremiah speaks, and the physical act of running that I absolutely love. In short, it's where "the miles meet the Message" to provide insight, perspective & encouragement that might enable you & I to successfully run either of the races set before us. May our course be purposeful and may we be passionate in our pursuit of the abundant life He desires for us.

ROCC Run For God - Knowing the Truth (Week 6)

As was the case in season one, nutrition week with our guest speakers, Dr. Wiggy and Emily Saunders, was a tremendous hit. Sharing a wealth of knowledge around optimal diets, the Saunders provided our RFG participants much food for thought (yes, pun intended) on how we can best combine our new found love of running / exercise with a healthy approach to nutrition. Thanks once again Wiggy and Emily for taking time out of your already busy schedule to pass along such great information.

Included with the slide set below are various links from our week 6 session; the video 'Touching Them All', the link to Dr. Wiggy's website and a site with several of his instructional presentations. Let me know of any questions and have a great week.  We are halfway home! Keep it up.

This is not a running related video, but I believe the spirit of 'character' is something that runners often show. As Run For God members I hope that we always put what's right, ahead of what's in it for me. Enjoy.

If anyone would like to know more about 'The Truth' provided in Romans 10:9, please take time to send me an email or pull me aside.  I love nothing more than to discuss both mile splits of a 5k and the cross of Christ that brings salvation.
