"If you’ve raced with men on foot and they have worn you out, how can you compete with horses? If you stumble in safe country, how will you manage in thickets by the Jordan?" (Jeremiah 12:5). Our journey is intended to be more than simply "stumbling" through the days while the world "wears us out.” We are made to experience the thrill of "running with horses” and to navigate life amongst the "thickets." The RWH blog focuses on both the spiritual race of which Jeremiah speaks, and the physical act of running that I absolutely love. In short, it's where "the miles meet the Message" to provide insight, perspective & encouragement that might enable you & I to successfully run either of the races set before us. May our course be purposeful and may we be passionate in our pursuit of the abundant life He desires for us.

RFG Season II - Opening Night Never Disappoints!

What a great group of 'Runners' that Christy and I had the privilege to meet last night as Run For God - Season II began.  Like I led off with, I have been eagerly looking forward to our time together ever since the final RFG runner crossed the 2012 ROCC 5k finish line last May.  I am hopeful that after last night's introductory session you are as excited about our journey as I am.

For those unable to attend the opening study, I have posted the majority of our presentation slides below.  Please review and let me know of any questions that you might have on this material.  Each week I will try and post with a recap.

And speaking of each week, next week we are going to take a few minutes to study the 'Run of Ahimaaz.'  One of my favorite passages of the old testament. We will set the scene and watch as Ahimaaz takes off across the plain along the Jordan.  But why did he run? What motivated him to run? What can we learn from Ahimaaz?  Well ........ come Monday night and we'll learn together.

Monday, 2/18 - 6:15 pm for workout #1, 7:00 - 8:00 for study / running 101.  If you are in the Triad and interested in learning more about Run For God at River Oaks in Clemmons, send me a note at roccrfg@gmail.com  It's not too late to join in all the fun, as we collectively 'Move Forward.'
